STOP THE PRESS: Maths Teaching Fails

Monash University Professor of Mathematics Education, Professor Peter Sullivan, claimed in an article in The Age (2 Aug 2011) that Australian students could be dropping out of maths because it is being taught in a way that is:

1. Not related to the real world

2. Repetitious

3. Boring

4. Restrictive
