Paper Planes Need Lots of Brains!!!!!

July 3, 2009

Mathspigs. You won’t believe this.

Takuo-Toda_Gizmodo site  Takuo Toda, a Japanese Engineer, broke the world record for the longest flight for a paper plane when his 10cm long plane stayed in the air for  27.9 seconds. But here is the most AMAAAAAZing news. According to The Telegraph (UK) #mce_temp_url#   , ‘the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency announced that it would fund a three-year, 90 million yen ($A1.17 million ) study into the feasibility of launching paper darts from the International Space Station and, hopefully, recovering them when they return to Earth about a week later.’

So you can earn a living making paper planes. Lets do it. Make paper planes, that is. I’m not so sure about the money. When you do make someof these planes time how long they stay in the air…. maybe, just maybe, you might  build a world record breaking paper plane.
